It can be a frustrating working environment with a Union in place. Also there is room for advancement in a lot of departments! What they expect from you is exactly what they are doing right along side the staff. The upper management works longer hours than the staff at times. They are fair and the upper management in that department work more hours at times than any of the staff!! The will not ask more from their employees or managers that they wouldn't work or do.
But, that is the nature of the hospitality business and restaurant business. Some departments like the Food and Beverage department request a lot of long hours from their staff, especially the management staff. And, quite a few of our employees have returned to work at Saratoga Casino Hotel because the 'grass wasn't greener on the other side'. I don't think some former employees understand what perks the company does offer that others don't. They also have a Team Member of the Month, Supervisor of the Quarter and Leader of Distinction program that has awesome rewards as well. They have parties for the employees and the employees kids during the Christmas time of year with tons of big ticket raffle prizes and gift for the kids.
